Welcome to Tail ID, operated by Elements Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Tail ID is a mobile app that identifies aircraft from photos you capture and returns publicly available data about the identified aircraft.

2. Your content

When you capture a photo or video in Tail ID:

• You keep ownership of your media.
• You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and serve the media for the purpose of operating the Tail family of apps (Tail ID, TailPhotos, TailVideos, TailExchange).
• You confirm you have the right to capture and share the content.

You can delete your contributions at any time from the app.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use Tail ID to:

• Stalk, harass, or surveil a specific individual.
• Capture aircraft on restricted military / classified facilities where photography is prohibited.
• Sell, resell, or commercially redistribute the identification API or its output without a license.
• Reverse engineer the app or scrape our backend.

4. Aircraft data accuracy

The aircraft data shown in Tail ID is drawn from public sources (FAA registry, ADS-B exchange, our own platform contributions). We make every effort to keep it accurate but do not guarantee correctness, timeliness, or completeness. Do not rely on Tail ID data for safety-critical decisions.

5. Availability and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We'll give 30 days' notice in-app before any material reduction in service.

6. Disclaimer of warranty

The app is provided "as is." We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elements Technologies LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to USD $100.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Settings.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
